Prohibits persons convicted of animal cruelty violations under Agriculture and Markets Law sections 351, 353, and 355 from working as dog control officers, animal control officers, or paid employees or volunteers at animal shelters, pounds, humane societies, animal protective associations, or societies for the prevention of cruelty to animals

Exempts court-ordered community service from the volunteer prohibition, allowing convicted individuals to fulfill court-mandated service requirements at these facilities

Makes violation of the employment prohibition a class A misdemeanor

Applies to convictions effective on the bill's enactment date, thirty days after becoming law
