County boards of elections may establish one or more portable polling locations for early voting, with the maximum number determined by the state board of elections based on population.

Portable polling locations must be designated no later than 14 days before an election.

Location selection must maximize voter access by considering population density, travel time, proximity to other early voting sites, public transportation routes, commuter traffic patterns, and other relevant factors.

Portable polling locations must be operational for no fewer than three consecutive days and cannot replace or reduce the number of required early voting polling places.

Ballots cast at portable polling locations must comply with existing election law provisions for early voting.
