Establishes the "New York State Environmental Sustainability Education Act" requiring the Department of Education to create a comprehensive environmental sustainability education program for K-12 public schools.

Directs the Department of Education to work with the Department of Environmental Conservation to develop curricula and train staff on sustainability concepts, the natural and built environment, and human-environment relationships.

Requires the program to integrate sustainability principles across multiple subjects including science, mathematics, social studies, language arts, and creative arts, with age-appropriate lesson plans for each grade level.

Mandates the program include instruction on ecological, social, economic and political systems; the impact of human activity on environments; cultural and socioeconomic factors in environmental decision-making; and innovative technologies for sustainable development.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
