Amends Education Law § 2002 to permit school district annual meetings and elections to be held in any building owned or leased by the district, not just schoolhouses.

Maintains the existing election schedule of the third Tuesday in May (or second Tuesday if religious observances conflict) and time requirements of 7:30 p.m. or at least six consecutive hours after 6 a.m.

Requires that any building used for elections must comply with accessibility provisions under Election Law § 4-104, subdivisions one-a and one-b.

Clarifies that if a district has no schoolhouse or building, or if facilities are inaccessible or inadequate, the trustees or board of education may designate an alternative location in the election notice.

Takes effect on the ninetieth day after becoming law.
