Requires the director of the State Office for the Aging, in conjunction with the State Board of Pharmacy and Department of Health, to create and publish a guide for seniors explaining the purpose, function, and common drug interactions of drugs commonly used by persons over age 62.

Guide must include information on the effects of combining medications with alcohol consumption and prominently display a 14-point-type caution on the first page advising seniors not to begin, stop, or alter medications without consulting a healthcare practitioner.

Director must make the guide available on the website and free of charge through designated agencies, as well as in the six most common non-English languages spoken by limited English proficiency individuals in New York according to U.S. Census data.

Requests for more than ten copies are subject to reasonable charges to cover reproduction and handling costs.

Act takes effect on September 1 following enactment.
