Prohibits the use of leg-gripping traps entirely under Environmental Conservation Law Section 11-1101(5), removing the previous exception for traps with teeth in the jaws.

Amends Section 11-1101(6) to eliminate specific jaw-spread allowances for leg-gripping traps used underwater during beaver and otter trapping seasons, creating a blanket prohibition.

Removes references to teeth in jaws and six-inch jaw-spread exceptions from Sections 11-1901(7) and 11-1903(9), which govern trap use on licensed premises for taking unprotected birds and predatory wildlife.

Maintains existing prohibitions on suspended traps and snares, and continues to allow body-gripping traps up to 7 1/2 inches in water during beaver and otter seasons or as further permitted by department regulation.

Takes effect thirty days after becoming law.
