Amends Judiciary Law Section 23 to specify which judicial officers are subject to age limitations on holding office.

Requires judges of the Court of Appeals, Supreme Court, Court of Claims, County Court, Surrogate's Court, Family Court, courts for the City of New York, and District Court to vacate office by December 31st following their 70th birthday.

Removes the blanket age limitation that previously applied to all judges and surrogates, narrowing it to specific court positions.

Eliminates a grandfather clause that previously allowed judges or justices already in office or appointed before the law's effective date to serve out their full terms regardless of age.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
