Adds a new duty to the Department of Agriculture and Markets to establish and operate a toll-free farming hotline in cooperation with Cornell Cooperative Extension, subject to appropriation.

Hotline will provide farmers, agricultural professionals, and others with information and referral services regarding government and private programs that assist in establishing and expanding farm and agricultural businesses.

Services will include information on grant opportunities, agricultural research, marketing possibilities, and other agricultural resources.

Hotline services are provided to callers at no charge.

Act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
