Removes the exception that allowed candidates' family members (children, parents, grandparents, siblings, and spouses of these relatives) to contribute amounts exceeding standard contribution limits to statewide office candidates.

Eliminates the higher contribution limits previously allowed for family members in elections and nominations for state senator, assembly member, and New York City municipal offices (mayor, public advocate, comptroller).

Applies uniform contribution limits to all contributors regardless of family relationship to the candidate for public campaign financing system participants.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
