Establishes a nine-member Mental Health Housing Evaluation Task Force for Aging in Place within the Office of Mental Health to study barriers to aging in place for residents of community-based mental health housing programs.

Task force shall develop recommendations on removing barriers to integrated mental and medical care, ensuring ADA compliance, staff training for elderly care, and transportation assistance to medical appointments.

Members appointed within 60 days by the governor (3), Assembly speaker (2), Senate temporary president (2), Senate minority leader (1), and Assembly minority leader (1); must include at least one resident advocate, one healthcare professional specializing in elderly care, one mental health professional, and one mental health housing program director.

Task force members receive no compensation but are reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses; must meet at least three times and submit a report to the governor and legislature within twelve months of the act becoming law.

Act takes effect immediately and expires thirty days after the required report is submitted to the legislature.
