Establishes a direct support professional worker registry maintained by the office to track individuals who complete approved education or training programs in direct support professional services.

Workers are automatically enrolled upon successful program completion but may opt out; workers with histories of abuse or serious neglect are denied enrollment.

Registry information includes worker name, address, gender, date of birth, contact information, completed training programs, and employment history with provider entities.

Registry is accessible online to workers, self-direction program participants, and licensed providers; providers must demonstrate employment consideration and may be denied access if maliciously accessing the registry.

No fees may be charged to workers for registration or removal; the office must maintain and update a list of state-approved training programs monthly and make program contact details publicly available.

Effective date is June 1, 2024.
