Amends town law to change "aquatic plant" districts to "aquatic growth control" districts throughout relevant sections.

Defines "aquatic growth" to include aquatic invertebrate species and aquatic plants identified as invasive pursuant to title seventeen of article nine of the environmental conservation law.

Allows town boards to establish or extend aquatic growth control districts and take necessary actions to control aquatic growth within those districts.

Updates provisions for petition filing, public hearings, cost assessments, and financing procedures for aquatic growth control districts to align with other improvement districts.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
