Grants line of duty sick leave to police officers, firefighters, emergency medical technicians, advanced emergency medical technicians, and paramedics who test positive for or display symptoms of a pandemic virus after exposure or contact.

Compensates eligible first responders at their regular rate of pay for work hours missed due to pandemic virus diagnosis or symptoms, without depleting their accrued sick leave balance.

Prohibits employers from taking adverse personnel actions against employees for utilizing sick leave or line of duty sick leave related to pandemic virus exposure or diagnosis.

Requires written requests for line of duty sick leave to include a waiver allowing disclosure of health information to the employee's retirement system for processing and auditing claims.

Mandates state reimbursement to public authorities and municipal corporations with populations under one million for costs of line of duty sick leave granted under this act.
