Boards of elections in cities with populations over one million must provide the same information in Haitian Creole that they provide in other non-English languages on their websites.

Affected boards must produce and distribute a citywide booklet containing a voter registration form in English with instructions in Haitian Creole.

The booklet must include instructions in Haitian Creole regarding absentee ballot eligibility criteria and the application process.

The booklet must contain general voter information in Haitian Creole, including frequently asked questions.

The legislation takes effect on January 1 following the date it becomes law.
