Adds bay constables employed by the Department of Conservation and Waterways in the Town of Hempstead, Nassau County to the list of municipal employees eligible for line-of-duty injury and illness coverage under General Municipal Law Section 207-c.

Requires the Town of Hempstead to pay full regular salary and wages to injured or sick bay constables (including directors, assistant directors, bay constable II, and bay constable positions) until their disability ceases.

Extends liability for all medical treatment and hospital care necessitated by line-of-duty injuries or illnesses to bay constables, consistent with coverage for other police officers and municipal employees.

Prohibits medical providers from collecting reimbursement from bay constables for treatment or care furnished under this section.

Effective immediately, with amendments to subdivision 1 of Section 207-c taking effect on the same date as Chapter 628 of the Laws of 1991.
