Amends Penal Law Section 176.75 to expand the crime of staging a motor vehicle accident in the second degree to include directing, hiring, requesting, encouraging, orchestrating, or inviting another individual to cause a collision involving a motor vehicle.

Maintains the requirement that the person acts with intent to commit and in furtherance of a fraudulent insurance act.

Preserves the classification of staging a motor vehicle accident in the second degree as a class E felony.

Takes effect sixty days after becoming law.
