Requires county boards of elections to extend voting hours when early voting or election day voting is delayed or disrupted for more than 15 consecutive minutes, with the extension proportional to the lost time.

Extensions may be scheduled the same day if practicable, or on the next voting day or successive voting days before election day, at the same or nearby polling places.

Boards of elections may vote to waive the extension remedy if they determine it would be inappropriate or unnecessary, but must document their reasoning and notify the state board of elections and the attorney general's civil rights bureau.

Requires boards of elections to publicize voting disruptions and remedial actions through electronic and telephonic notification to state officials, candidates, news media, civic organizations, and directly to impacted voters who have provided contact information.

Takes effect October 1, 2024, with state board of elections authorized to adopt implementing rules and regulations immediately.
