Amends Penal Law Section 265.20 to allow Nassau County auxiliary police force members to possess police batons (24-26 inches long, no more than 1.25 inches thick) when authorized by the county police commissioner.

Extends existing police baton possession authority previously limited to auxiliary police in cities with populations exceeding one million and Suffolk County to now include Nassau County.

Requires that auxiliary police receive training in police baton use, including defensive techniques and instruction on the legal use of deadly physical force under Penal Law Article 35.

Prohibits intentional striking of another person with the baton except in situations where deadly physical force is legally authorized under Article 35.

Takes effect 30 days after becoming law.
