Repeals section 264 of the public health law relating to physician coursework or training in nutrition that was added in 2023.

Adds new section 6505-e to the education law requiring the Department of Education, in consultation with the Department of Health, to compile a list of continuing medical education courses and training opportunities in nutrition.

Compilation shall include plant-based nutrition, clinically proven methods for prevention and reversal of diet-related illnesses, and information on racial disparities in diet-related disease outcomes.

Requires the compiled list to be made publicly available on both departments' websites and updated and redistributed to licensed physicians at least every two years via email.

Department of Education shall consult with professional organizations and higher education institutions; Department of Health shall consult with nutrition experts and specialists in diet-related illness prevention and treatment.
