School districts, boards of cooperative educational services, county vocational education boards, charter schools, and nonpublic elementary and secondary schools are designated as "public access epinephrine auto-injector device providers" under Public Health Law Section 3000-c.

Public access epinephrine auto-injector device providers must maintain and test epinephrine auto-injector devices according to manufacturer standards and applicable government agency requirements.

Providers must notify the regional council of the existence, location, and type of any epinephrine auto-injector devices they possess.

Providers must post a sign or notice at the main entrance indicating the location where epinephrine auto-injector devices are stored or maintained in the building or facility.

The act takes effect 90 days after becoming law.
