Amends Labor Law Section 201-a to prohibit employers from requiring employees to be fingerprinted or undergo mandatory iris and retina scanning as a condition of employment.

Exempts state employees, municipal employees, employees of publicly-funded or privately-endowed hospitals, employees of hospital-affiliated medical colleges, and employees of private proprietary hospitals from this prohibition.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
