State Energy Planning Board must conduct a study on preparing renewable energy facilities for clean energy distribution, with findings due within six months of study completion

Study shall examine time frames for replacing or upgrading battery energy storage systems at renewable energy facilities

Study must assess intake and distribution capacity of all major and minor renewable energy facilities in the state

Study shall include inspection of each renewable energy storage facility with recommendations on maintenance, operation, and labor requirements, plus time frames for implementation

Final report must be submitted to the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, the Governor, Senate Temporary President, and Assembly Speaker, then published on the state energy research and development website
