Amends Penal Law Section 195.02 to simplify the crime of concealment and/or mutilation of a human corpse by removing the requirement to prove the defendant had a reasonable expectation the corpse would be used as evidence or that they intended to prevent its production or discovery.

Adds exemptions from the concealment and/or mutilation statute for individuals or entities authorized to accept anatomical gifts under Public Health Law Section 4302 and for lawful activities of funeral directors, undertakers, and embalmers under Public Health Law Article 34.

Makes concealment and/or mutilation of a human corpse a class E felony and authorizes bail for principals charged with this offense under Criminal Procedure Law Sections 510.10, 530.20, and 530.40.

Changes gender-specific language throughout the criminal procedure law sections from "his or her" to "such defendant's" and "such principal's."

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
