Amends Chapter 104 of the Laws of 1936 and Chapter 891 of the Laws of 1972 to establish a maximum 30-day suspension period without pay for police officers in Westchester County towns and certain villages pending trial of disciplinary charges.

Changes gender-specific language in disciplinary provisions from "his" to "their" and "such member's" to reflect gender-neutral terminology throughout the statute.

Corrects statutory reference from "civil practice act" to "civil practice law and rules" for officers seeking enforcement of payment orders during suspension reversals.

Maintains existing protections including requirement for written charges, public hearing rights, counsel representation, and full pay restoration with interest if charges are not sustained or conviction is reversed on review.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
