Adds menacing crimes under Penal Law sections 120.13, 120.14, and 120.15 as qualifying offenses for bail determinations in criminal procedure law sections 510.10 and 530.40.

Adds stalking crimes under Penal Law sections 120.45, 120.50, 120.55, and 120.60 as qualifying offenses for bail determinations in criminal procedure law sections 510.10 and 530.40.

Expands criminal contempt provisions to include situations where the protected party is a victim of an alleged menacing or stalking crime, in addition to violations of family or household member protection orders.

Updates gender-specific language in existing bail statutes from "his or her" to "such defendant's" or "such principal's" for technical conformity.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
