Changes the name of the "Alert Volunteer Exempt Firemen's Benevolent Association" to "Alert Volunteer Exempt Firefighter's Benevolent Association" throughout the Nassau County Civil Divisions Act.

Replaces all references to "fireman" and "firemen's" with "firefighter" and "firefighter's" in membership eligibility requirements and organizational provisions.

Updates insurance law section references from section 553 and 554 to section 9104 and 9105 for fire insurance premium tax collection.

Broadens the permitted use of collected insurance taxes from care and relief of disabled or indigent volunteer firefighters to any purposes set forth in section 614.2 of the act.

Takes effect immediately upon enactment.
