Town of East Hampton authorized to discontinue and convey approximately 2.0 acres of parkland to Suffolk County for a roadway improvement project along Three Mile Harbor Road.

Conveyance is conditional upon the town acquiring and dedicating 3.56 acres of replacement parkland (located near East Hampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike and Swamp Road) before discontinuing the original parkland.

If the fair market value of replacement parkland is less than the parkland being conveyed, the town must dedicate the difference in value toward acquiring additional parklands or funding capital improvements to existing parks.

Town must comply with all federal requirements regarding parkland alienation or conversion, including obtaining approval from the Secretary of the Interior if federal funding was used for the original parkland.

Act takes effect immediately upon enactment.
