Amends Penal Law Section 270.00 to add restrictions on ammunition sales for assault weapons as defined in Penal Law Section 265.00(22)

Limits sales of ammunition for assault weapons to two times the capacity of an authorized weapon over any 120-day period

Defines "authorized weapon" as a weapon registered in accordance with Penal Law Section 400.00(16-a)

Classifies violation of the ammunition sales limitation as a Class E felony

Takes effect immediately upon enactment
