Allows the board of education of a school district in the village of Tuckahoe to adopt a resolution limiting student transportation to 7 miles instead of the standard 15-mile maximum

Applies the 7-mile limit to transportation for grades K-8 students living more than 2 miles from school and grades 9-12 students living more than 3 miles from school

Extends the 7-mile limitation option to transportation between schools and before-and/or-after-school child care locations for students in grades K-8

Permits the district to provide transportation to nonpublic schools beyond 7 miles from centralized pick-up points if such transportation was provided in at least one of the preceding three school years

Takes effect on the first of July following enactment
