Requires large group health insurance policies and contracts that cover cancer chemotherapy treatment to also cover scalp cooling systems used to preserve hair during chemotherapy

Narrows the scope of a 2024 law (S. 2063-A/A. 38-A) by limiting the coverage mandate to large group policies only, rather than all health insurance policies

Repeals the scalp cooling coverage requirement for individual health insurance policies under section 3216 of the insurance law

Allows coverage to be subject to annual deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments consistent with other benefits in the policy, as deemed appropriate by the superintendent

Takes effect January 1, 2026, applying to large group policies or contracts issued, renewed, modified, altered, or amended on or after that date
