Expands New York's existing nursing home staffing requirements to include physical therapists, physical therapist assistants, occupational therapists, occupational therapy assistants, respiratory therapists, respiratory therapy technicians, and recreational therapists in the minimum staffing calculations

Maintains the existing requirement of 3.5 hours of care per resident per day, but allows the new therapy professionals to count toward meeting this standard

Requires at least 2.2 hours per resident per day be provided by certified nurse aides, nurse aides, or therapy assistants/technicians

Requires at least 1.1 hours per resident per day be provided by licensed nurses, physical therapists, occupational therapists, respiratory therapists, or recreational therapists

Mandates nursing homes publicly post therapist staffing levels alongside existing nurse staffing information in a department-approved format visible to residents, families, and staff
