Exempts SUNY and CUNY teaching faculty from the definition of "reportable business relationship" under lobbying disclosure requirements

Applies to teaching professors, adjunct professors, lecturers, instructors, assistant professors, associate professors, and similar teaching roles

Exemption only applies when the individual's sole state employment is through SUNY or CUNY in a teaching capacity

Excludes from the exemption any faculty who supervise other state employees or manage grant-funded projects or research

Currently, relationships valued over $1,000 annually with lobbyists or their clients must be reported; this bill creates a carve-out for qualifying academic positions
