Mandates that pharmacies ensure pharmacy technicians receive appropriate training to demonstrate competence before assisting with compounding, preparing, labeling, or dispensing drugs

Limits pharmacy technician duties to tasks requiring no professional judgment, with all professional judgment reserved for licensed pharmacists

Requires supervising pharmacist approval of all work performed by pharmacy technicians before any drug is actually dispensed
