Requires all health insurance policies providing medical or comprehensive coverage to cover follow-up screening and diagnostic services for lung cancer when recommended by a health care provider and consistent with nationally recognized clinical practice guidelines

Prohibits insurers from imposing any patient cost-sharing (copays, deductibles, coinsurance) for follow-up lung cancer screening or diagnostic services

Defines "nationally recognized clinical practice guidelines" as evidence-based, peer-reviewed guidelines developed by independent organizations or medical professional societies with transparent methodology and conflict of interest policies

Allows insurers to conduct medical management and utilization review, including preauthorization, to ensure services align with clinical guidelines

Takes effect January 1, 2027, applying to policies issued, renewed, or modified on or after that date; permits high deductible health plans to apply deductibles if necessary to maintain health savings account eligibility
