Restores religious exemption from vaccination requirements for school attendance in New York, allowing children whose parents or guardians hold "genuine and sincere religious beliefs" contrary to vaccination to attend school without immunization certificates

Amends Public Health Law Section 2164 to add a new subdivision 9 creating the religious exemption, which was previously eliminated by Chapter 35 of the Laws of 2019

Requires health care providers to report the immunization status of children exempt under the new religious exemption provision

Updates notification forms given to parents to inform them that the religious exemption (subdivision nine) is available as an alternative to vaccination requirements

Takes effect immediately upon passage
