Defines "plant-based food option" as food free of animal products (meat, poultry, seafood, dairy, eggs, honey) with protein portions recognized by USDA as meat alternates for the national school lunch program

Schools must include information about plant-based option availability in all written materials describing food offerings

Takes effect for the school year beginning one year after the bill becomes law, with schools required to consult nutrition advisory committees during implementation
