Adds care and services provided by school psychologists to the standard coverage available to Medicaid recipients in New York

School psychologists must be certified or otherwise authorized under the education law to provide services within their scope of practice

Covers only services that would otherwise be eligible for Medicaid reimbursement under existing law

Does not modify or expand the scope of practice for school psychologists beyond what is already authorized under education law

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with immediate authorization for regulatory changes needed for implementation
