AI Summary

  • Grants civil liability immunity to uncompensated volunteers serving as leaders, coaches, managers, umpires, referees, assistants, or board members in organized youth programs for persons 18 years of age or younger

  • Covers youth programs operated by organizations including Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Campfire Girls, YMCA, YWCA, YMHA, YWHA, Catholic Youth Organization, Kiwanis International, Hi-Y, and similar organizations

  • Protects volunteers from civil lawsuits for damages to participants resulting from acts or omissions while rendering services, but does not shield against claims for willful, wanton, or grossly negligent conduct
