Mandates SUNY and CUNY trustees adopt policies requiring each campus to employ dedicated staff in three areas: energy management, materials (waste) management, and sustainability education and engagement

Campuses with fewer than 4,000 students must hire one full-time employee in each of the three functional areas

Campuses with 4,000 to 11,999 students must employ 1.5 full-time equivalent positions in each of the three areas

Campuses with 12,000 to 24,999 students must have two full-time employees in each functional area

Campuses with 25,000 or more students must employ 2.5 full-time equivalent positions in each of the three sustainability-related areas

SUNY community colleges are excluded from these staffing requirements
