Mandates age-appropriate vaccine science instruction as part of the required health education curriculum in all New York middle schools and high schools

Requires curriculum to cover vaccine history and development, effects on the immune system, vaccine-preventable diseases and their spread, and vaccine safety and testing

Authorizes the Commissioner of Education to prescribe rules and regulations for vaccine science instruction, with flexibility to vary content by school district

School districts must use either the commissioner-prescribed curriculum or a commissioner-approved alternative course meeting established criteria

Schools must provide facilities, time, learning aids, and curriculum resource materials for effective vaccine science instruction

Takes effect July 1 following enactment, with immediate authority to develop implementing regulations
