Grants qualifying reservists 2.5 additional points on competitive civil service entrance examinations for original appointment

Provides reservists 1 additional point on competitive promotional examinations

Defines "reservist" as a member of U.S. armed forces reserve components who was honorably discharged, is a U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident, and is a New York State resident at time of application

Applies the same limitations on credit usage that currently apply to veterans—reservists can only use the additional credit once for a permanent appointment or promotion
