Expands the definition of dentistry practice by removing the limitation that oral and maxillofacial treatment must be "related to restoring and maintaining dental health"

Allows dentists to diagnose, treat, operate, or prescribe for any disease, pain, injury, deformity, or physical condition of the oral and maxillofacial area without the previous qualifying language

Retains existing provisions allowing dentists to prescribe and fabricate dental prostheses and appliances and perform physical evaluations in conjunction with dental treatment

Takes effect immediately upon passage
