Extends authorization for body imaging scanning equipment using ionizing radiation from state correctional facilities to local correctional facilities for security screening purposes

Permits screening of individuals detained in, committed to, visiting, or employed at local correctional facilities using body scanning technology

Requires the State Commission of Correction to promulgate regulations governing when body imaging scanning equipment will be used in both state and local correctional facilities

Expands reporting requirements for local facilities to track equipment usage on staff and visitors in addition to incarcerated individuals, including scans before/after work shifts and before/after visits

Maintains existing protections requiring alternative screening methods for individuals who decline or cannot undergo body imaging for medical or other reasons, with prohibitions on harassment or disciplinary action for choosing alternatives
