Exempts newly elected or appointed coroners and deputies from continuing education requirements for one year following their initial election or appointment

Prohibits coroners and deputies who fail to meet continuing education requirements from practicing until they complete the courses and receive a certificate of completion

Allows the Department of Health to grant adjustments to education requirements for health reasons, active military duty, or other acceptable causes

Assigns the New York State Association of County Coroners and Medical Examiners to maintain compliance records and notify individuals and counties of non-compliance
