Increases maximum fine for speeding 1-10 mph over the limit from $150 to $175

Raises maximum fine for speeding 11-30 mph over the limit from $300 to $350, with the enhanced penalty for vehicles with out-of-service defects or transporting hazardous materials also increasing to $350

Increases maximum fine for speeding more than 30 mph over the limit from $600 to $700, with the hazardous vehicle penalty also rising to $700

Takes effect January 1, 2026 and applies only to violations occurring on or after that date
