Eligibility requires New York State residency, active or retired uniformed membership in the FDNY, and active membership in the motorcycle club

Charges an additional annual service charge of $25 on top of the regular registration fee

Requires either a $6,000 surety bond or a minimum of 200 pre-orders before plates can be designed and produced

Takes effect 180 days after becoming law, with immediate authorization for the Department of Motor Vehicles to develop implementing regulations
