Prohibits denying occupancy or evicting tenants in public housing projects based on owning a dog of a specific breed, size, or weight

Bans landlords, property owners, and managers of apartment buildings, tenement houses, and mobile home parks from restricting tenants' ability to own dogs based on breed, size, or weight

Preserves the right of housing authorities and landlords to enforce reasonable general dog ownership restrictions that apply regardless of breed, size, or weight

Allows continued enforcement of dangerous dog regulations under Agriculture and Markets Law section 123

Takes effect immediately upon passage
