Mandates schools notify parents or legal guardians "as soon as reasonably practicable" when an employee, volunteer, or administrator receives a written censure, reprimand, or written advisement regarding inappropriate conduct toward their child

Defines covered personnel broadly to include school board members, compensated employees, contracted service providers, public assistance workers, and volunteers who have direct student contact

Protects existing collective bargaining agreements that conflict with the act until their current expiration dates

Requires authorization from the school board (provided during executive session) for board members to issue such written discipline
