Requires charter schools to notify parents or legal guardians when the school receives a corrective action plan or is given a short-term renewal of less than five years from their charter authorizer

Notification must be provided within two weeks of the school receiving actual notice of its status

Schools must disclose their corrective action plan to remain open when providing the notification

Notice must be sent in writing via postal mail to parents or legal guardians, with both parents receiving notice in dual custody situations if addresses are on file

Applies to parents of currently enrolled students as well as families the school is actively recruiting
