Establishes a legal presumption that heart disease causing disability or death in correction officers, correction supervisors, deputy sheriff patrol, and deputy sheriff patrol supervisors is job-related and occurred in the line of duty

Applies to members of the New York State and Local Employees' Retirement System who passed a physical examination showing no heart conditions prior to employment

Allows the presumption to be rebutted only with competent evidence proving the heart condition was not work-related

Provides accidental disability benefits of 3/4 of final average salary (minus workers' compensation) for Tier 1-2 members, and 1/3 of final average salary for Tier 3-6 members

Estimated fiscal impact includes $1.8 million in increased annual county contributions for FY 2026, plus a one-time past service cost of approximately $5.98 million shared by the state and local employers
